My grandmother was Florence Kately-Kerner-Caulfield. Her father was from the Boston area of Irish descent. Her mother Mary came from Ireland during the potato famine. My great-grandparents had property on 54th St, between Broadway and Ave E.

My grandmother was one of seven children. I only know the names of eight of the children: George, Edward, Joseph, Cecelia, Florence, Dorothy, and Margaret. My great-aunt Margie will be 90 on valentine's day.

I was told by Anna Sullivan, Dorothy's daughter, that when she lived in Cork, Ireland the name Kately was like Smith in the phonebook.
