Hello,

Yet another Gately trying to trace family history.
I have some information about some of my mothers family from the 1901 Leitrim-Roscommon census.
My great grandfather was Thomas who was 62 in 1901, he was a farmer in Dysart, county Roscommon.
His wife Mary was 54.
Other family members mentioned are,
Thomas 25
Michael 23
Martin 21
Anne 17
Maggie (Margeret?) 15
James 9
Stephen 7
My grandfather Patrick is not on the census as he went to New York about 1890, though he returned to Ireland in around 1910.
Other family members my mum has mentioned are Mary, Ellie, and Catherine, all children of Thomas and Mary.
We know a lot of the children also went to America and think Martin went in 1903 aboard the Oceanic and Stephen in 1914 aboard the Lapland. Have only just started looking but will update as we find out more.
Also think James might have been in WW1.
