Thanks for the info. With so little information on my end as to the family history regarding my ggrandfather and his siblings, etc., any additional data is most welcome. The timeline is consistent, and there is every hope that the information you have might provide me with linking possibilities -- especially with regard to John J.'s likelihood of having brothers or cousins. I am also curious about Mary J. Since my ggrandfather named a daughter JANE.
This could be a family name that is an honorarium to a previous ancestor.

I'm also curious if you have found your Kately's popping-up as Gately's in some documents.

So, yes, if you have more to share, please do.

By the way, I recieved an e-mail from a fellow researcher that an English spelling of Kately is Keightly. I thought that was an interesting twist.
