Hi Venere, My ancestor that came to Canada was Etienne Gauvreau. He arrived in Canada in approx. the year 1710. His father was Pierre Gauvreau and his mother Anne Arrive from LaRoche sur Yon France. I have the information on your ancestor Nicholas who was the son of Pierre Gauvreau and Gabrielle Raimbault. They were from Dompierre France. I have been trying to find out if your Nicholas and my Etienne were related. It is very difficult to get information from France for that period because of the wars and destructions that took place in France.
