Hi again. I have just found out some new information on this family. Peter and Margaret GAVIN were born in the 1860's in County Galway, Ireland. And, Margaret's maiden name was WHELAN.

I posted a query on the Galway Mailing List and found out that GAVIN and WHELAN were both popular names in County Galway.

I just did a quick check on the 1920 Census, and I'm not finding several of Peter and Margaret's children in 1920. William was living with his brother, James, in Cambridge, MA, in 1920. And, the 2 youngest sisters, "Maude" and "Liz" seem to have never married. I just found Mary living in Somerville, MA, and single at Age 34. I can't find the 2 youngest brothers, Joseph and Peter, in 1920.

My friend, Bob, doesn't remember any other GAVIN relatives, besides his cousins, uncles, and aunts.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)
