Hi Triena: My Great Grandfather was Bryan Gavin who lived on Barrack St in Mullingar as of 1901. His children were Kate,Lizzie ( my Grandmother), Teresa, "Bernard" and Joseph. My Grand Uncle Bernard was born around 1894......does this match up to your family tree ? The problem with my accuracy in reporting our family tree is my suspiscion that Bryan Gavin was christened Bernard, but went by his middle name of Bryan. There are numerous Bernard Gavins from Mullingar and I believe Bryan's father was also a Bernard, and obviously one of his sons is named Bernard...but unfortunately I do not have any birth records to confirm my suspicions. Bryan Gavin was married to Kate Cleary ( I believe) and in the 1901 census, 2 houses removed from the Gavin family is William and Essie Cleary and I believe these are Kate Gavins parents. Again, I have no concrete proof. So you never know.......perhaps we are related and I will await any news from you based on the limited information that I have provided to you.

William Kennedy
