Andrew, Thanks for responding.I am just getting back into genealogy research after a 30 year hiatus raising a family.I have NOTHING on Margaret Gavin. She's a deadend. Our Wiggins/Price/Fulgham family records say she and William Washington Fulgham of Wayne Co, NC, had 4 children--William Guire Fulgham, b. 7 Jan 1844 in Duplin Co, Robert Lee Fulgham, b 12 Nov 1845 in Wayne Co, NC, my gg grandmother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fulgham, b. 13 Mar 1848 in Goldsboro, NC, and Sarah Ferrand Fulgham, b. 28 Dec 1848 in Duplin Co, NC.
My uncle did much family research 40 years ago. When I talked to him in the 70's, he hinted at "people who never bothered to get married" although there seems to be a marriage date for Margaret Gavin and William Washington Fulgham of 1 Dec 1842.
In going through some of my Dad's things last weekend, I found a photo of my gg grandmother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fulgham Price, who would have been Margaret's daughter. On the photo, my Dad has written "Grandmother Price, half Indian."
Do you know anything about your Margaret Ann Gavin born 1814?I appreciate any clues you can give me.Betty
