I am in England researching the British side of the Gazeleys and I am related from a decendant of Thomas James (B 1798).
Great to see info about his grandchildren who emigrated which will fill in some gaps for me. I have only just started researching but am beginning to gather info that I would be happy to provide to you. I have begun gaining info about James Thomas Gazeley's children, James, George Thomas,William Richard(my GG Grandfather), Charles,Emma Eliza, Henry John, Alfred and Joseph

Brief list of my link is

Grandmother - Rose Fletcher Gazeley - Born 1904 - Ripley Derbyshire
G Grandfather - Walter James Chidgie Gazeley - born 1880 - Plaistow Westham
GG Grandfather - William Richard Gazley - Born 1850 - Limehouse Middlesex
GGG Grandfather - James Thomas Gazley - Born 1824 - Plaistow, Westham
GGGG Grandfather - James Thomas Gazley - Born 1798 - Plaistow, Westham

Would be great to find out where the name Chidgie comes from and if anyone else knows of that name being used.

If you can I am happy for you to post this info on the forum for anyone else to see.

Marion Squires
