Thanks for confirming what I had come up with in my internet searches. A friend of mine is the great-granddaughter of Elisabeth Rosilla Gerow, known as "Bessie." She and her husband were divorced because he wanted her to move to Chicago, where he was opening up a new hotel. My friend has a letter from George Gazley in which he tells Bessie that is won't be long before they are together again. Her parents urged her to move to Chicago, but she was not willing to relocte away from her family in New York. They had two children: John "Jack" Gazley and Madelaine Gazley, my friend's grandmother, whom I knew. If you'd like more information about that line, I have it documented.

Could you please provide a couple of sources for your informatoin about the lineage from the immigrant, John Gazley. Thanks again.
Mary Lou
