Deanna & Carole,
My gr grndfthr was Maurice(often mispelled as Morris),b. 1837, Kilmeedy, Limerick. Died, Chicago 1914. He had a son John born 1866, Chicago. Died 195?, Kansas.
I highly doubt any relationship, however I'm very curious if your Maurice is the one listed in the Civil War records as being in the Nevada Calvary circa 1863?
Also do you have any info on your Gearys(Guiry) in the earlier 1800's in the Kilmeedy/Feenagh area. The given names are all so close. Other given names of my Guirys were David, Patrick & James, Catherine & Margaret. Also Johanna Vaughan.
