HELP!!
I am at my wits end about this line.
What I have is that Hattie Semmons was taken in (listed as a servant Athens 1910 Census) with the David and Alice Geary family in Hockingport, Ohio.
Why she was placed with this family I have no idea.
The Geary family were railroad workers.David's father James worked on the railroad as did David's brothers. I often wondered if there was am accident that occurred that killed her parents.
She was raised by David and Alice Geary and her chuldren called them Grandma and Grandpa.

I have no idea of what happen to her family.
The Geary's did not have any choldren of their own that I know.
Hattie had a brother named Dick who lived in Nelsonville, Ohio. He made and sold rag rugs for a living.
Hattie's birth is listed as August 8, 1887. Year abt 1887-1890 Ohio
She married Ervie Swift Jr. They lived in Athens, Ohio most of their life.
