Hi Carole, My great-grandfather's name was John Geary, his son Maurice Geary is (passed) my grandfather. They lived in Chicago. I don't know much about John Geary as Maurice had said he passed when he was about 10 but we did find that this is not true. I don't know why Maurice said that. Anyway, it would be very interesting to know if they (we)are of relation to you and your kin. I will try to find out if my mother knows more (my father is also passed).
