Try the Gabbert family forum. The name has been spelled a number of ways over the years. Originally it was Gebhard, but has variously been spelled Gebbert, Gabbert and others. Bet your folks are the same family. Lots of research has been done on the Gebbert/Gabbert family -- Germans from Wuerttemberg who fled French persecution during the early 1700s, coming to America in 1731.

Some one has also posted on the Gabbert forum seeking a Pommeranian family that came to America much later than the Palatinate refugees.
