GEBHART, Jayne age 88 of Dayton passed away Monday. July 12, 2004 at her residence. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alban L. Gebbart; one son & daughter-in-law, Dr. James R. & Cynthia Gebhart of Hermitage, PA, one daughter Dorothy Lackey of Oxford, OH; one brother & sister-in-law, John E. & Charlotte Hole of Simi Valley, CA; and her pride and joy, her 2 grandsons Christopher & Brenden. Jayne is also survived by special friends Si & Jean Simon and Ben & Peg Jakobowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. & Pearl (Early) Hole, one son Richard, 2 sisters Bertha & Margaret, and 2 brothers Kenneth & Charles. Jayne was an avid reader and loved to sew, play cards and work jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where she was involved with the Rosary Altar Society. Prayers will be held at 9:15 AM Friday at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 16, 2004 at Holy Angels Church, 218 K St., Dayton. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions in Jayne's memory may he made to Holy Angels Church, 218 K St., Dayton, OH 45409.

Gloria Gebhart

Mrs. Gloria Gebhart, 78, of Middletown, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 26, 2003, in Middletown Regional Hospital.

She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Feb. 26, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Henrietta (Krause) Van Horn, and graduated from Middletown High School in 1943. She then joined the Navy and served during World War II.

Following the war, she returned to Middletown and worked at the Gardner-Richardson Co., for Montgomery Ward, for Harry Finkelman, and finally for the Middletown Sand and Gravel Co.

She was a long and faithful member of the Zion Lutheran Church, participating in Bible Study class and as a member of the Altar Guild. She was an avid bowler for many years, playing with the Hurricanes.

Mrs. Gebhart is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack V. Gebhart; two daughters, Marcia (Bill) Sang of Carmichael, Calif., and Judy Gebhart of Middletown; grandchildren Amy (Mike) Butler and Michael Gustin; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha and Sabrina; and she also leaves behind many close friends and neighbors, especially the Grubb family.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Calista and Martha; a brother, Charles; and an infant daughter.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nursing staff and doctors at Middletown Regional Hospital Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for their excellent care; to Nurses Unlimited; Middletown Family Practice, doctors and staff; and to Dr. Stephen Moore.

ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services will be at noon on Friday, Oct. 31, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor David Moreland officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Graveside services will follow at Woodside Cemetery, with military honors by the American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Zion Lutheran Church.

Gebhart, James E.

GEBHART, MR. JAMES E. 82, of Yucaipa, died at home on April 18, 2004. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on March 14, 1922. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret (Stalnaker) Gebhart. He was preceded in death by a son, Frederick. Surviving daughters are Eleanor Diaz (spouse Rene) of Porterville, Mary Faye Watson (spouse James) of San Bernardino, Jeannie La Cues (spouse Rick) of Ontario, Margaret Stallings (spouse Jerry) of Highland , and Brenda Sue Shull (spouse Doug) of Bloomington. Surviving sons are James Michael (spouse Joyce) of Highland and John of San Bernardino. Brothers are Richard Eugene Gebhart of Lancaster, OH, and Frederick Charles Gebhart of Norwalk, CA. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his constant companion "Lucky Dog". James served 12 years in the military. He was with the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific, with the U.S. Army as a railroad brakeman and was stationed at Port Columbus, OH, during the Korean conflict. He retired from Hajoca Corporation as a shipping and receiving clerk and as a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 467. And Old Glory still flies in his front yard. James was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Yucaipa, the Loma Linda Knights of Columbus #9037, the VFW Post 7347, the American Legion Post 0426 and was a San Bernardino County Sheriff Dept. citizen volunteer. He was the recipient of many recognitions and awards for his community and church volunteer work. Viewing is on Monday, April 26, 2004, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Harrison-Ross Mortuary in San Bernardino with a rosary to follow from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. Mass is on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Yucaipa with internment following at the Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Loma Linda Knights of Columbus #9037 Building Fund.

CLAUDE EMERSON GEBHART, age 68 of Lewisburg, OH died Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on August 28, 1934 in West Sonora, Ohio he was the son of the late David & Alice E. (Shiverdecker) Gephart. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1956- 1958. He retired in 1996 from Miami Valley International in Vandalia, Ohio after 20 years of service. From 1966 to 1976 he served as the Fire Chief and was a member of the Lewisburg Fire Department and helped organize the Lewisburg Emergency Unit. He was a founding member of the Civitan Group. Preceded in death by Brother: David E.
"Gene" Gebhart in 1993.

Survivors include Wife of 47 years: Carol Jean (Locke) Gebhart; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Todd E. & Rhonda L. Gebhart, Lewisburg, Ohio, Scott M. & Michelle L. Gebhart, Eaton, Ohio; Daughter and Son-in-law: Vicki J. & David Fryman, Union, Ohio; Sister-in-law: Marie (Focht) Gebhart, Lewisburg, Ohio; Grandchildren: Katelynn & Cynthia Fryman, Ryan & Kyle Gebhart and Jessica Gebhart. LUCAS, Edna L., age 105, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2004. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church on Gebhart Church Road in Miamisburg. Edna had lived in the Centerville area for all of her life. She was one of six students to graduate from Centerville High School in 1917. She became a teacher and taught in the area for a few years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert in May 1981; son, Chester in December, 2004, along with her brother, Clarence. Survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Henry Griffith of Kettering, Erma and Bob Gebhart of Centerville; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Phyllis Lucas of Washington Twp.; daughter-in-law, Becky Lucas; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great- great-grandchildren. GEBHART, Francis Woodrow "Geppy" passed away quietly on May 31, 2005 at Mercy Siena in Dayton. He was born in Preble County, Ohio on March 17, 1917. Francis was a WWII veteran and a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, past president of the Magyar Club of Dayton, and a GM retiree. Francis was inducted into the Dayton Amateur Softball Commission Fast Pitch Hall of Fame in 1975. He was preceded in death by his brother, Heber; and sisters: Maxine Wysinski, Audrey Gravitt, and Mary Bullock. Francis is survived by his loving wife, Ethel of Mercy Siena; sister, Betty Bates of Greenville, OH; son Frank & wife Mary Lou; step-daughter, Ethel Nadasi & husband Mike; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many friends. Friends may call Friday evening, June 3, 2005, from 5 to 8 PM at the MAGETTI GAVIN FUNERAL HOME, 1508 Valley Street.
