Tale of twon Gebo

I'm working on a theory to try and connect some Gebo families in Clinton county. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I have an Edward Gebo that had two sons, Eugene and Joseph.

My Eugene went on to have lots of children, two of whom were named Wilfred, and Raymond. They all lived in Plattsburgh, NY.

In an obituary someone sent my grandmother in 1993, there was a Henry Gebo in Plattsburgh, with brothers also named Raymond and Wilfred, and his father's name was Joseph.

I think it's a great possibility that Henry's father Joseph could have been the brother of my Eugene.

To add to the coincidence, I found an online obit for Henry's brother, Raymond, and oddly enough, both Raymond Gebo's were long time firefighters in Plattsburgh and both of them belonged to the same Elk Lodge (621) in Plattsburgh.

In the obit for Henry, the Gebo name actually changes spellings within the family, sometimes it is spelled Gibeau, which is what I had been told the spelling of my line was at one time. I have not actually seen it spelled this way in any of my research yet.

If anyone knows if these two families are related, or NOT related so I can stop looking at that possibility, please let me know.
