The Geers family of Amsterdam, Holland

Dear readers,

My name is Martin Geers and I was born in Amsterdam, the netherlands in 1947. For some time now I am researching my ancestors and I came down to 1662 when Pieter Ignatius from Veurden (nowadays name unknown) married in Amsterdam with Trijntje Arents. From that date onwards there is a long line of forefathers who were born, married and died in Amsterdam.

There is a second group by te name of Geers that lives in one of the northern provinces of the Netherlands (Groningen)near bthe German border.
A third group is situated in the western part of the province of Noord-Brabant, near the Belgian border.

If any of you has relatives that originally came from Amsterdam, please let me know. I might "perhaps" be able to connect them to the Amsterdam group.

Kind regards,

Martin Geers
