Hello,
I descend through Christina Gelbaugh, who married Daniel Smith in Nov 1838.I strongly suspect she was the daughter of George Gelbach, but I am still, after all these years, lacking definitive proof. The dates seem to add up, since she came with her parents to America when she was 11 which would be ca. 1832.I know that George moved his family to America in 1833 because of the Fulton County sketch about his son Philip.
