I am looking for information on the family of Gerard Napolean Gelinas, b. Oct. 7, 1914 in Lowell, MA. He was the son of Alide Gelinas and Ezelka Courtois. His grandparents were Aime' Courtois and Philomene Morin, who were both born in Nicolet, Quebec, Canada and emigrated to Lowell, MA in 1900. Ezelka died in 1920 and Alide died in 1923, when Gerard was nine years old. He was left in the care of his widowed grandmother, Josephine Gelinas, but she died only four months later in May of 1923. Little Gerard was then passed into the hands of other Gelinas relatives. When he was old enough, Gerard joined the army, and upon his discharge in 1945, relocated to Lewiston, Maine, where he lived until his death at age 57, on May 4, 1972. He had married, but had no children. His mother was my G grand aunt. I have some more information about his mother to share. Susan McAtee email@example.com
