Can someone clarify for me Fredeick Heinrich's wife Maria Dorothea? I have seen a couple of references to her as a MORGENSTERN (as here) but most of the documentation I've seen makes her an EYLER, daughter of Johan Conrad. Following the death of Johan Conrad (intestate), Frederick Heinrich & Mary sold her rights to Johan Conrad's land warrant to her brother Valentine EYLER. Frederick Heinrich & Maria Dorothea GELWICKS lived on the land adjacent to Johan Conrad EYLER.

On the other hand, their son Johannes was sponsored at his baptism in 1747 by Johannes MORGENSTERN. What is the deal here? Was a MORGENSTERN Maria Dorothea's first husband? I would welcome a little education here.
