Maybe you can help me? First: Ferdinand "Jondrow" (the U.S has several spellings) and Anastasia Ayotte moved to Nebraska in 1854. Before then she had: Approlien Jondrow 1841 -? Hermione "Amme" Jondreau 1844 – 1921 Andrew Jhondrow 1846 – ? Mezinor Gendron 1850 – 1917 Mezor Jondreau 1850 – ? These last 2 were twins, apparently. [Note the variable spelling of the last name represents the variety I've seen. Also for Anastasia, I've seen: Estasia Estay Estaz, Estasee, Anastasios] I have some of their records on Ancestry(e.g., Ferd & Anastasia's second child, Hermione "Amme" 'Gendron' is my 2x ggmother and married Charles Gagnon, my 2x ggfather; Mezinor (#4 on the list)married a women named Tangney & had ten children, whose names I have.) but I can write you if you want them: write me at go2war4u@gmail.com. So now my question: There is another Ayotte, Henry Ayotte born ca. 1822 (Québec)died Feb 15 1859 (US). Henry is associated with the somewhat famous trapper Theophile Bruguier and the somewhat more famous War Eagle, the Dakota chief. Charles Gagnon (1835) becomes Ayotte's business partner, and Charles marries the daughter of Estasia Ayotte (his brother married the Jendreaus' boarder. Clearly they are allied families, but I am trying to figure out Henri Ayotte's relation to Anastasia Ayotte. Given their age, they could be siblings, or she might be a cousin. Hope you can help!
