Thanks Tony for the upgrade info.
I will probably get the Generations v8.5a upgrade (and test it as a backup system) but I must re-state that I'm
running Windows XP with Generations v4.2 which is rock solid and giving me NO TROUBLE whatsoever.
The message board comments make me feel somewhat uneasy about putting my genealogical data (7 families; 0ver 2000 names into the v8.5a basket!
