Generation Grande suite 5.2

Traver,
I have some problems with my Generation 5.2 version. When I want to create a " Print preview" of a Family Group Sheet, I got the message "there is not enough free space on the disk". When I want to create a Family history Report, I got the same message and also when I want to export data in a GED COM.
I went to the Gen Forum, and I understand that the only one solution is to upgrade to 8.5a.
I would like to know if the 8.5a version will be obsolete soon and do you suggest me to buy another product. I feel I have no choice to buy first the 8.5 a version in order to export ma data in the GED COM.
