Edmond Genet was the only male of his family, three of his sisters were ladies of the bed chamber to Marie Antoinette, the most famous being Madam Campan. There is another Genet family who came through Canada which is not related to mine. You can find information on them at the LDS website FamilySearch.org. The Genet family of Jean Genet, the writer, came from the south of France. They are also not related. My branch of the family came from the Versailles/Paris area and earlier from Burgundy in northern France. I can send my line if you are interested. I don't have much on aunts and uncles down the line. If there is anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask.
Jeff
