John George of Laurens Co, SC & Caldwell Co, KY

I am working on the family of John GEORGE, b. early 1740s in VA; lived in Laurens Co, SC on Enoree River 1770s-1800; moved to Caldwell Co, KY after 1800, where he died in 1813. There seems to be some confusion about this John George. DAR Patriot Index shows that he died in Wilkes Co, GA in 1813. Perhaps there was another John George in Wilkes County? John George's wife was supposedly Jennie FORD, but I've never been able to document that. His wife mentioned in his estate papers was named Mary and may have been a second wife.
