Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have an original 5”x7” photograph of “Willie George and first wife – to Dear Aunt Mrs. Chas. Shroyer, Rensselaer”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken by “Fordtran”, with studios in southern Cook Co., IL, and she looks to be about 20, while he is mid twenties. This could well be their wedding photo.
I found William (birthdate May 1870) and Minnnieve (birthdate Oct 1875 NY) in the 1900 Chicago census, they lived on Yale Ave., and had been married 3 years (1897, which matches the date of the photo). William P. George, age 38, still in the 1910 Chicago census, with wife Minnie, age 33. In 1930, William, 58, and Minerive R. George still in Chicago, Ancestry PublicMemberTree shows that William Peck George (1871-1934) was married to Minnive Reynell (1875-1947).
