William Henry Gerard, Ind>Mi

I'm looking for information on my great grandfather, William Henry Gerard, born in 1856 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He married an Elizabeth Sackett (or Elizabeth Crane) born in Michigan City, Indiana.

They had 10 children, Forest (1882), Cliff(1885), James (1889), John Henry (1891), Glen (1895), Gertrude (1889), Geraldine, Lulabelle, Laney and William (1901).

The children were born in Michigan, and they supposedly died in Houghton County, Mi in the small town of Chassel. He worked in various lumber camps, as a shingler and a cook.

I have conflicting information from the 1900 and the 1920 Census. 1900 lists parents as being born in Germany, 1920 says U.S.

I'm trying to locate any information on his parents or any of their children. John Henry was my grandfather--he married Leila Edna Everson.

Thanks.

Leslie in Florida
