Hi Jeanie - I am very interested in the Gerard family because I can trace their descent back to the Magna Carta Barons in England during King John reign. My problem is that my grandfather left a note indicating that our descent was back through Dr. Thomas Gerard. Then there is a big gap from Thomas until my great-great-grandfather, Theodore Wilson Collins. I have had no luck in tying the two families together. And since I am very new at this, I am feeling very lost. Do you have any Collinses in your line? Are you descended from Thomas's daughter Elizabeth (m. Ellyson) or Thomas himself? I would be interested in your direct line. I can be reached directly at rrhoads@gcnet.net. I have Thomas's descent back through Sir Robert De Roos, 4th Baron of Hamlake Manor. Let me know. Mary
