Leslie, I have found out a bunch since we were last in contact. We are talking about the same Rosetta, my ggrand mother. She was married twice, her second husband was my ggrand father Henry Rudd. Her mother was Elizabeth Penland.
I was looking last night at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Chippewa Co where Elizabeth and Forest her grandson are suppose to be and they were not listed among the grave stones. I am going to write to the women whoes name is on the sight and see what she has to say. I was up in in Baldwin and Luther, Lake Co., Michigan area about a month ago to try and find the head stones of Rosetta and Henry. They were not in the cemetery that I show they should be. I talked to some people up in Luther and they looked on the plot map of the graves and they were not listed. They said often times in such a poor area several people went in on a plot and they were all buried together, but only one name was shown on the marker. This was a let down. My email is dartag@comcast.net if you want to chat more. I am in contact with another Leslie and her ggrand mother was Rosaletta, she has helped me a lot.
Hope to talk to you soon,
Exie Susanne Bruce Smith
