German spelling of the surname Belken/ Belecken?

I am trying to locate the family of Johannes and Carolina Belken from Germany. I found they were on the ship "Uhland" to USA in June 1852 with their children. They were listed from "Alfen" and another family on the ship(Caspar Belken) were listed from Affeln. I have ordered the church records for both of these and found no Belken's on the Alfen church records and in the Affeln rcords found names that match some of the kids, but the last name is spelled Belecken on the records! Could this be my family? Thanks!
