Robert,

After re-searching an old German family Bible, I do see a mention of Marienwerder, East Prussia, which from the net I see is a major city. There is also the word written above Marienwerder which comes up blank when I google it. The word is "Sacrasefkey". I have no idea what that means. I've researched all the siblings of my great great grandfather and have found nothing besides a census record for Edward and Carl, hoping that one of their descendants is also searching. It appears from the birthplaces that Gottlieb and Caroline married in Germany, and immigrated between 1863-1867.
It also appears that Marienwerder was at one time in Poland and then in Germany. The old family Bible mentions only Germany. The names are also spelled Wolter and Fraze.
Thanks,
Melba
