Gayle --
The book Pennsylvania German Pioneers by Strassburger & Hinke (Picton Press) shows that no Ship List (List A) exists for the Ship Two Brothers sailing which arrived in Philadelphia, PA on 13 Oct 1747. This trip, with Thomas Arnett as Master, originated in Rotterdam, stopped in Leith (near Edinburg, Scotland) then proceeded to Philadelphia.

Both the Oath Of Allegiance (List B) and the Oath Of Abjuration (List C), taken at the Courthouse in Philadelphia on the day of arrival, for this sailing do exist. On both list your ancestors name, which he wrote, is shown as Johann Philippus Kloninger. Since I do not read the old German script I can only trust the translation to English in the book is correct.

If you have any other queations about the two lists -- shout.
