I am searching for information about the parents of Harriet L. GOODRICH, born 1810 in New York, married Solomon C. Gernert circa 1836 likely in Bradford Co., Pennsylvania, and died 1855 in Bradford Co., PA.

Solomon Clay Gernert was the son of John Peter and Anna BUDD Gernert. Solomon was born 1810 in Columbia Cross Roads, Bradford Co., PA and died 1871 in nearby Austinville, Bradford Co., PA.

I theorize that Harriet L. GOODRICH (1810-1855) was the daughter of James and Selinda PAINE Goodrich but I have not found the vital records to prove my theory. Information discovered in the Gernert File at the Bradford County Historical Society states that Harriet GOODRICH was of Cairo, Greene Co., New York at the time of her marriage to Solomon Gernert. The aforementioned James Goodrich was enumerated in Cairo in 1810 and his household contained four females born between 1800 and 1810.

James Goodrich (1770-1842) migrated from New York to Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., Pennsylvania in the mid-1830ís. James is listed in the Columbia Township tax assessment records of 1837, and he is enumerated in Columbia Township in the census of 1840.

In 1840, Solomon and Harriet GOODRICH Gernert are raising their family in Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., Pennsylvania. The 1840 census lists:
Gernert Solomon C. 200001 001001, detailed as:
2 males under 5, born ca 1835/1840 (believed to be Henry and Walter)
1 male 30 and under 40, born ca 1800/1810 (Solomon)
1 female 10 and under 15, born ca 1825/1830 (unknown)
1 female 30 and under 40, born ca 1800/1810 (believed to be Harriet GOODRICH Gernert)

In 1842, James Goodrich dies aged 71 years and he is buried in Fries Cemetery, Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., PA.

In 1850, Solomon and Harriet GOODRICH Gernert are enumerated in Springfield Twp., Bradford Co., Pennsylvania, as follows:
Gernert S. C. 40 M PA
Harriet 40 F NY
Henry C. 13 M PA
Walter B. 11 M PA
Anna 80 F Germany (Solomon's mother, Anna BUDD Gernert)

Enumerated right next door to Solomon Gernert in the 1850 census is Betsey GOODRICH Fosburgh, Harriet's theoretical sister.

In 1855, Harriet GOODRICH Gernert dies aged 45 years. She is buried in Fries Cemetery, Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., PA.

I have the following information about the children of Solomon and Harriet GOODRICH Gernert:

1) Henry C. Gernert (1837-1901) married to Emma HICKOCK (1843-1924); both are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Troy, Bradford Co., PA.

2) Walter B. Gernert (1839-1912) married to Harriet HAVEN? (1840-1884); both are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Troy, Bradford Co., PA.

3) Nelson H. Gernert (1840-1847) buried in Fries Cemetery.

After the death of Harriet GOODRICH Gernert in 1855, Solomon Gernert remarried to Emeline A. BERRY (1834-1914) circa 1856. They had one known child (Ernest) who died young in 1860. Solomon, Emeline, and Ernest are all buried in Fries Cemetery.

Any information about the parents of Harriet L. GOODRICH (1810-1855) would be much appreciated.
