Hi ,
I know very little of the Gerred name. I've been given many different stories such as that it was originally Von Gerred, and when my grandfather was in WWII in either France or Holland he saw the Gerred name. My grandfather was Alfred Gerred and I believe his ancestors were from England and Scotland. I would have to check that information with my father.
