Isaac Getty born in Washington Co., NY fought in the War of 1812. He was the son of Robert GEtty born in Mass. who went to Madison Co., NY. Isaac married Aseneth Cook of Onondaga Co., NY, daughter of a Revolutionary War soldier. She was born in NY 1799, dying at age 83. In 1880 she lived in the household of Anna W. Douglass in the 4th Ward, Oswego, Oswego co.., NY. Anna, age 59, a widow, was the daughter of Aseneth. Also in the household was Anna's daughter Hortense Hall, a widow, age 38.
Isaac and Aseneth's son was Alfred B. GEtty born 13 March 1824 in Madison Co., NY. He held many public offices for Oswego. President Buchanan appointed him postmaster. He studied law becoming a city judge for Oswego. On 6 Sept. 1849 he married Mary E. Lyon, b. 1835 of Syracuse, NY, They had the following children: Alice, b. 20 Aug. 1866; Addison B. 9 Feb. 1852-31 Oct. 1866; Frederick W. b. 3 Nov. 1853; Charles R. 10 Jan. 1857-1 Jan. 1860. Addison in 1894 resided in Omaha, Neb. He married Martha A. Conger of Cayuga Co. Fred W. married Eva May of Chicago where they lived in 1894.
