Surely you all aware that this is the couple who settled in York (now Adams Co PA) where they established an inn at pioneer crossroads to supplement their farm income. Son James later took over that inn and a community developed around it. This village first turned up on maps as "Gettystown" and then as "Gettysburg." It is famous for the nearby the Civil War battlefield of the same name, the site of Lincoln's Gettysburg address. There is plenty of history on this famous family.
