Herbert and James, brothers of John Gibb, Artist

As a G.G.Grand-daughter of John Gibb who came from Innellan in Scotland to Christchurch, New Zealand in 1876, I am interested in finding out if one of his brothers, Herbert B. Gibb or James Gibb settled in America? I have in my possession a number of photograghs taken at De Camp, Photographer, 671 Broad St., Newark, New Jersey. Are they my distant relations? The family lived in Kirkintilloch, east of Glasgow, as children. Another brother, William, was City Treasurer of Glasgow and held in high esteem as the instigator of "Brass Band" concerts, outdoors in parks in Glasgow.
