Benjamin Gibb in SC 1821

I have a copy of the will of William O'Cain (dated Nov. 26,1821) who at one time lived in Martin County, Halifax District, North Carolina.
According to the information I have, he was in Martin County, NC on the 1790 census. By the early 1800's he was in Marion County in South Carolina where he later died.
One of the names at the bottom of William's will is a BENJAMIN GIBB. He along with James Bond, and Francis Hyman were witnesses to this will. Edward B. Wheeler(ordinary).
I am trying to find out WHO this BENJAMIN GIBB was.
Was he a GIBB or a GIBBS?
I have not found anything on him so far in SC resources.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
