Thank you very much for taking the time to share this information. Levin Goffigon served in the Civil War --1st Regiment 2nd U.S. Colored Infantry.There is an extensive file on him at the National Archives.It is extensive because he had to prove that Levin Goffigon and Levin Giddings were the same person.Later Lucy tried to collect the widow's pension, but was unsuccessful.there are many affidavits from family members which gives lots of information.Levin's death was listed as March 2, 1928 in these military records. Lucy died in 1855.
I do not have extracts of the census records you mention.I will contact you directly to give you my address.
I am also searching for more information on Lucy Morris.I spent a day at the Northampton Town Hall looking at records.I one day want to go back and spend more time.
