Linda,
Sounds like we're looking for the same GIDLEY connection.
> Alice b. 1738 who married Samuel Mosher
Could this be Alce, not Alice? [so it could well have been written as Elsie or some variation]Both her gravestone, and Samuel & Alce's dau who married John CHASE have ALCE, not Alice on the stones in Woodard Cem.
I don't know if there's a connection yet-- but while looking through Quaker records in Saratoga last week I saw a 1799 marriage between Phebe MOSHER & William GIDLEY.Phebe is the dau of Jonathan and Patience (HOAG) MOSHER.William was only identified as "the son of Content GIDLEY of Bristol, MA".
They had 7 girls, but named none Content-- their 4 boys were William, Moses, Daniel & David. [these are as named in 'Desc. of Hugh Mosher'- names and dates at;

That book also has William, the father, dying in Ohio in 1855.The births I've noted in the Saratoga records go from 1811-1815 - but they were still in Saratoga in 1815.
