Mary:
I am interested in the Graham/ Gilchrist connection and I am a 5th generation from John Graham b 1792 NC and Lydia Rushing b 1797 Anson Co, NC who married Rutherford Co/ Cannon, TN in 1814, and 1st of settlers in Courtland, Lawrence Co, AL in 1816. My John Graham's father believed was John Sr, but no proof, or could be William of Warren Co, TN.

I believe my Uncle M. Gilchrist Graham b 1916 LCA was named for this family. My John Graham and later Malcolm Gilchrist of Courtland were business partners.

My information of Gilchrist who came to Mt Pleasant, Maury Co, TN was Malcolm & wife Christine from Moore or Cumberland Co, in 1809 came after Daniel Blue in 1804, and the first settler was John Graham in 1801. Malcolm was a surveyor, and a Capt John Graham of Warren Co, TN was a surveyor, and wondering if he is the same John Graham who came in 1801.

Looking for any information on John Graham who first settled Mt. Pleasant, TN coming with brother Joseph, and William of Centertown, TN. Who were his parents, wife and children?
Dennis Billings
