Hello,
I have been trolling around the Gilchrist genealogy and there are many with my name ( or rather I am one of many who have a name of the few). My full name is James Laurie Gilchrist. Born Scotland (Kirkcaldy ) Scotland 1955 . My father was Colin Gilchrist (his brother david and sister isabella, deceased 1959 . My mother Isabella Buchananan Douglas. Married 1950? My Grandfather James Laurie Young Gilchrist married Elisabeth McKay of Kinghorn. Any trails out there ? Rumours of links back to Kildalton in Islay.
