Gildea DNA

I am an administrator of the Irish Heritage DNA project and also the administrator of the McCain DNA Project. I have noticed that the name Gay is an alternative form of the name Gildea, both in turn anglicised forms of the Donegal origin name Mac Giolla Dhé.

Of note, the DNA projects are showing all the Gay surnamed men to match each other and to match other families native to Derry and Donegal.

I would like some Gildea surnamed men to do the DNA test to confirm the Mac Giolla Dhé clan DNA pattern has indeed been found.

Please contact me if interested. Contact via the web sites below.
