I am looking for information on information on my father's mother's line. Michael Gilles was born in 1824 in Germany and it is believed his family emigrated there from Scotland. He married a (?) Zing born 1836 in Switzerland. Michael died Dec, 1920 in Springdale, Penn. and (?) died in 1921 in Springdale.The family first moved to Washington, Ontario, Canada and it is believed ran a small restaurant. They then retired to live with their younget child in Penn. Children were:1) Mary Gilles born 1852 in Washington, Penn.; married in St. Thomas, Ont.to a William Faulkner and died 1953 in Detroit, Mich. 2) My great- great grandmother - Pauline Teresa born Feb. 1855 in Washington married Herbert Paul Porrest June, 1874 in St. Thomas and died April, 1952 in Vancouver, B.C. 3) Edith born 1857 married a man by the last name of Seigfried and died in Springdale. 4) John born 1857 and died in Fargo, North Dakota. Any information regarding either ancestors or descendents would be appreciated.
