According to the Filles du Roi website at, Jeanne married THREE times:
1. Francois Fleury on August 24, 1670
2. Rebé Dumas dit Rencontre during June 1689
3. Pierre Galet dit Laliberté, Sep. 1, 1704

I am related to Jeanne thru her marriage to Francois Fleury.

From what I understand the King's Daughters were girls of marriageable age were sent by King Louis XIV of France during the mid-1600s to settle in the new colony of Canada. They were given a small dowry of 50 livres and a free ticket to Canada if they would settle down and have children to help the colony grow. There were about 800 women who made the trip, most of whom were poor or orphans back in France and took the trip as a way to make a new life and start over. There is tons of information out there about these girls. Pretty courageous thing to do, if you ask me.
