hi,
my great-grandfather's name was mathias gilles from landkern/germany (20 km from mertloch).
he and his wife (name unknown yet) had 8 children:
johann
josef
anton (my grandfather, born 1896)
peter
susanne
maria
anna
gertrud
it may be possible, that mathias or one of his relatives are related to anton and johann you mean.
