Herb -- What a tremendously helpful and detailed response. Thank you for taking the trouble.
Basically, I'm trying to document the line of Susan Catherine Gilliam/Gillham, the great grandmother of Tomlin Joyce Tillery who lives in Los Angeles. Tomi is the step mother of my boyfriend and she may have contacted you as well.
Another researcher in Osage Co. has asserted the info that I shared with you in my first message, but you have added much more. I will send to you via snail mail the info we have since it appears that Tomi is a legitimate descandant of your line.
There is an item of variance between your report and the earlier one I mentioned. The researcher in Osage Co. has evidence that James Milton Gillham died in 1847 not 1845. It's a small point; just thought I'd mention it.
I have two questions: Jacob seems to have married twice, just two years apart. Do you happen to know which one is the mother of this James, the father of our Susan? And, do you happen to know who is the mother of Jacob?
I'm still trying to sort out the variance in spelling by reading through the various forums that chart these different names. Not an easy chore. Anyway, I'll send you what I have within the coming week. I may wait until I hear from you regarding those two individuals above. All the best.
