I believe Mary Ann was a descendant of James Gillilan of Greenbrier County, WV whose son, James Jr., married Margaret Boggs and moved to Ohio. Gillilan is a spelling specific to descendants of James Sr., though he was a son of Nathan GilllanD, as the rest of the family retained the Gilliland spelling of the surname.

There were many marriages, from early times, between the Boggs and Gilliland families and some of those families migrated together from WV to Ohio; some even returned to WV.

I would have to check my records for any specific information on Mary Ann but I believe this will at least point you in the right direction.
