Joyce, Your message was a pleasant surprise. Elijah is my great grandfather. Elijah married Sarah Ann Golden and my grandma was one of the kids, my mom, then me. I had William Wallace, George Taylor (spouse: Laura Ann Lewis), Richard E (spouse Emma Ray Piner), Isiah, Malinda. The 1880 census lists Bethany daughter 27 yrs old, William W son 25, George T son 21, Elijah C (that confuses me since my gt granddad was always named Elijah Pigott Gillikin 19 yrs. Richard E son 15 yrs, Isiah son, 7 yrs, Lafayet grandson 4 yrs, Mary mother in law (Mary Polley) 75 yrs. 1 boarder and 1 servant. The census has Clarrissa as head of house. Do you have Jesse's date of death? I have one but I don't know how correct it is, can't remember my source and didn't make a note of it. He might have been away at the time of the census. Diane
