I have two daughters of John Fulford and Abigail Williston marrying Pigots. Serepsedy Fulford married Levi Pigot 30 Jun 1825. Charlotte Fulford married Elijah Pigot 17 Oct 1796.Both were married in Carteret County.
As to the where abouts of Levi Gillikin's tombstone, it is located off Firetower road in Otway. You go to just before Firetower makes its bend to the left. There is a driveway on the left with two houses on it. I was just there and the drive way is marked by three post wrapped with rope on both sides of the driveway. You go all the way to the end of the last house and there is a fenced in area containing the graves of Elijah Pickett Gillikin and Sarah Ann Golden and Levi Gillikin. Levi's grave is flat and it has a wonderful carving of a ship on it. But you could not see it anymore, only the top of Elijah and Sarah's tombstone was visable. I have been here many times and saw Levi's tombstone on one of my visits. There is much disagreement on Elijah's middle name. I meet with his grandson who lives in the blue (?)house on the right as you go around the bend and E.P. told me he was named after his grandfather and his middle name is Pickett. I believe someone had mistakenly listed his name as Pigot and pasted that information around. E.P.'s home is said to be on the site of Elijah and Sarah's old homesite. Elijah was said to be buried out in the field not the cemetery because he wanted to be where they had buried his leg when it was amputed.
