Mr. Phipps, thank you for sending me the link to the Norris/Norreys history. What a wonderful website! It seems to confirm many suspicions I had regarding the family history. I am going to attempt to find the ancestry of the Sirs Henry Bold and Lawrence Standish mentioned in the article. By year's end I hope to make it to the Newberry Library in Chicago to study all of the various Lancashire "Visitations" and county histories.
I had the pleasure of visiting Speke Hall in 1984, but at that time I had no idea I was a Norris descendant. How I wish I had paid closer attention.
Thank you again Mr. Phipps. I will keep you informed of anything new I come across.
